    Bayern Munich 7-0 Union Berlin

Mercifully for Union Berlin, it's all over in Bavaria.

Bayern Munich go top of the Bundesliga in emphatic fashion, in a game full of landmark moments.

Harry Kane's first-half penalty makes the Englishman the fastest man ever to reach 100 Bundesliga goals, but that feat has been outshone by a truly spectacular hat-trick from Michael Olise.

A Man of the Match display from the Frenchman as the champions go from strength to strength.

Meanwhile, it's a truly damaging defeat for Union Berlin as their search for a first win will continue into matchday five.

Perhaps most excruciating is the fact they will now need to wait three weeks before they can put this heavy defeat behind them, as the domestic campaign comes to a halt for the extended international break.

  2. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Bayern Munich 7-0 Union Berlin

The onslaught continues for the visitors as Bayern continue their relentless pursuit of more goals.

The home side have made a number of substitutions and it's clear that those coming off the bench, see this as an opportunity to get a goal and force their way into the starting eleven.

Union Berlin on the other hand, probably can't wait for the full time whistle to go at this point.

I'm having a hard time keeping up here!

Bayern Munich have a fifth and it's a five-star goal from Ismael Saibari.

The Moroccan drops a shoulder and skips past two Union defenders to get into the penalty area, before smashing his left-foot strike past Frederik Ronnow.

  6. CLOSE!published at 64 mins

    Bayern Munich 4-0 Union Berlin

Almost a hat trick for Harry Kane.

A long ball over the top finds Jamal Musiala in behind and face to face with an onrushing Frederik Ronnow.

The German looks to go around the goalkeeper but is forced wide and decides to lay it off into the path of Kane, whose first time hit from the edge of the area is blocked by an Union Berlin defender.

Kane's double makes it four for Bayern Munich against Union Berlin

Clinical from Harry Kane, incredibly cruel for Union Berlin.

The visitors have created two great chances to score in this second half, but Bayern have punished them for not making those chances count.

It's a lovely floated cross over the top from Michael Olise, which Kane flicks past Frederik Ronnow at the near post for his second of the game.

Those early second half glimmers of an Union Berlin fight back have been well and truly snuffed out.

Mauro Lustrinelli has made his own half-time substitution, bringing on Tim Skarke for Emmanuel Latte Lath.

Skarke is Union Berlin’s top goalscorer this season, with two goals to his name. The German has yet to start a match this season, coming off the bench now in all four of Union’s matches this season.

His impact off the bench however is undeniable, finding the net in stoppage time on two separate occasions.

Incredible Musiala and Olise goals. But 3-0 does rather flatter our performance. Another slow start. First 20 minutes were very dodgy.

It would be fascinating to see Bayern vs Barca in a Champions League clash. Two team that relentlessly attack the opposition. If it ever happens, I think it will be a game for the ages.

    Bayern Munich 3-0 Union Berlin

Mercifully for Union Berlin, the first half comes to an end.

The home side have played some magnificent football and the visitors just do not know how to deal with that electric Bayern front four.

You'd have to imagine the theme of Mauro Lustrinelli's half-time team talk will revolve heavily around damage limitation.

It's only a matter of time before Bayern Munich double their lead.

They've already put the ball in the net a second time, thanks to a lovely chip over an onrushing Frederik Ronnow by Luis Diaz.

The offside flag mean those celebrations are short lived, as the Colombian just makes his run a split second too soon.

Meanwhile in Bayern's half, the crowd are brought to their feet by a trademark Manuel Neuer forray out of the penalty area, winning the ball near the centre circle before playing the ball forward.

  20. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Bayern Munich 1-0 Union Berlin

There is just no way out for Union Berlin here.

Bayern have them penned into their own half and are looking to double their advantage.

They almost make it happen, as Jonathan Tah leaps to meet an inviting cross from Joshua Kimmich.

He angles a powerful header down towards the near post but is denied by a brilliant save from Frederik Ronnow in the Union goal, who gets a strong hand to keep the effort out.
