The only way to describe the traditional pre-match atmosphere and build-up here in the TSC Arena in Backa Topola is that there was none.
No fans, no singing, no chanting, no cheers or indeed, boos when the two teams ran onto the pitch. Surreal, bizarre, rare – take your pick.
This is a pristine, state of the art 4,500-seater stadium with every single supporter’s seat and standing space unoccupied except for the odd official or security staff.
We can only imagine what both sets of players are making of it all.
