    Brilliant football. Arsenal cruising.

Christos Tzolis gets the ball on the left and plays the ball into Martin Odegaard. His first touch is brilliant to take him past Josko Gvardiol.

He dummies a shot to put Gianluigi Donnarumma on the ground and then rolls the ball into the net.

This is Jack Grealish's first City game since the end of 2024-25. He spent last season on loan at Everton in a deal which wasn't made permanent. But it still seems likely he'll have to find a new club this month.

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Every player out there, except one, looks comfortable for Arsenal.

The one player who needs to grow into it is Bruno Guimaraes, not his fault, he just needs to know where he fits in and that will happen over time.

    Arsenal 2-0 Man City

In a football world of silly transfer fees, how good is it to see Lewis-Skelly from the academy and a manager willing to give kids a go.

    HT: Arsenal 2-0 Man City

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

You can feel the intensity of the stadium and how Arsenal played.

They were front-footed, scored within 30 seconds and slowed it down a little bit towards the end of the first half.

I think Mikel Arteta has picked up where he left off and he's treating the game like a Premier League fixture. Whereas I think City are exactly where we thought they'd be.

  15. An excellent performance from Arsenalpublished at 15:56 BST

    Arsenal 2-0 Man City

    Alex Howell
BBC Sport Arsenal reporter at Principality Stadium

That's an excellent first-half performance from Arsenal.

The champions have really dominated the game and not given Manchester City a chance to catch their breath.

The Arsenal midfield three of Bruno Guimaraes, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Martin Odegaard have run the game.

  16. 'He just stands there'published at 15:55 BST

    HT: Arsenal 2-0 Man City

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I've been watching Nico O'Reilly closely, and he's playing the left-back role but in the attack he goes and leaves it. But because they've been so slow building up, he's getting to the centre-forward position and he just stands there.

That's not how you score a goal, you have to run onto it. He has to get into the habit of when the ball comes in, I'll go onto it and attack it.

I think his manager needs to have a word with him.
