“No Scotland No Party, Sebastien Pocognoli’s Tartan Army” is quite tricky to fit in too.

I like the look of the line-up a lot, it will be interesting to see how it actually lines up too.

John McGinn as a 10 when Scotland have the ball and will get forward to support both strikers, that is a positive.

When you're playing any system that has three central defenders, the most important guys are the wing-backs.

We've got Aaron Hickey and Andy Robertson, they will fly when we have the ball and not just be full-backs.

    It is attack-minded.

  4. Rare goal a boost for Gilmourpublished at 13:13 BST

Nice to see Billy Gilmour back in the Scotland midfield after that heartbreaking injury so close to the World Cup.

He's done 90 minutes in the past three games for Napoli and even scored his first goal in almost a year last time out.

  5. McBurnie seeks to change Scotland storypublished at 13:10 BST

    Slovenia v Scotland (14:00)

"I didn't play well enough when I put on the Scotland shirt," Oli McBurnie told BBC Scotland this week. "I can hold my hands up and say that. I didn't give the best representation of me as a player or as a person and that's something that I'm here to change.

"I'm just so thankful that I've been given the opportunity to do that. I'll be eternally grateful to the manager for giving me the chance. I'm more determined to go out there and prove why I belong here."

  6. McBurnie is backpublished at 13:08 BST

    Slovenia v Scotland (14:00)

Oli McBurnie earns his 17th cap, more than five years after his last Scotland appearance.

The 30-year has yet to open his Hull City account in the Premier League but has played almost every minute of their first five games.

Last season, he scored 19 goals, the pick of them being the 95th-minute play-off winner against Middlesbrough that took The Tigers up.

  7. Postpublished at 13:06 BST

    Slovenia v Scotland (14:00)

A big day for Sevilla striker Robbie Ure and Swansea City central defender Stephen Welsh.

Ure's journey to La Liga is quite a tale, from failing to make the grade at Rangers, to the Anderlecht B team, then a prolific spell in Sweden with Sirius.

Welsh really shone on loan at Motherwell last season and it was something of surprise that Celtic chose to let him go for nothing in the summer.

We're on the march with Sebastien Pocognoli...

Nah, that's not going to work, but it won't take the Tartan Army long to dedicate a chant to the new Scotland head coach who gets started in earnest today.
