It bounces awkwardly for him but he keeps it in and gets it over the keeper and I think Lewis Koumas and Dan James got in each other's way when it came off the bar.

One of them had to take control there.

Craig Bellamy's team burst forward down the line and Brennan Johnson latches on to a bouncing pass.

He cannot kill the ball as he stretches to control on his chest but, with the angle very tight, lifts it over the goalkeeper and on to the bar.

Lewis Koumas and Dan James are lurking but Wales cannot convert the rebound either as Ruben Dias clears.

The tackle was that good that the ball was popped.

But he's playing a risky game asking the Portuguese to stop while he swaps it.

Ben Davies just stopped in his tracks there, and thankfully for Wales the referee stopped the game.

Strange one, that.

He deserves adulation and respect.

He has time to look up and pick a pass - but the movement in the middle is not great and eventually his drilled cross is cleared.

Wales might have made more of that.
