  1. 'Czech side getting stronger and stronger'published at 13:03 BST

So, can England keep the positive momentum going with another promising performance on Tuesday?

England boss Thomas Tuchel has been giving his thoughts on the Czech Republic:

"I will not openly talk about anyway weaknesses, we will always try to find gaps when we analyse opponents," he says.

"We always try to find advantages for us but there is a lot of development in [the Czech Republic] squad, I feel them getting stronger and stronger, especially in build-up.

"Clear patterns of play, very flexible, very fluid."

  2. 'We have built squad with identity & clear values'published at 13:00 BST

England boss Thomas Tuchel has spoken about the responsibility he feels to develop young players as individuals when they join up with the squad.

"You can see what we have built and what the team stands for as an identity. You come into an excellent dressing room and a brilliant squad with excellent leaders and clear values about how we make new players feel comfortable," Tuchel says.

"I think this is what people see and feel in our performances. To have that, players have to take care of the values and standards off the pitch, make new players feel comfortable and understand how things work here, but also comfortable enough to express themselves and take risks on the field.

"Without feeling comfortable you will never have a top performance. At the moment, that is why it is possible that players like Lewis Hall come in and appear to seamlessly fit in. It's the work the team does off the pitch to make him feel comfortable."

England were superb against Croatia, probably one of the best overall performances under Tuchel. Winning the ball back and playing at pace, plus accurate finishing. A little mistake at the back could’ve caused a Croatia goal but it was a superb performance by the lads.

More from Tuchel on injuries on international duty: "I'm not involved in discussions with clubs on how to use [players].

"For two and a half weeks they are our players and, as much as we trust the clubs to put the players' health first, clubs have to trust us to put the players' health first.

"You can see it in our team selections."

  5. 'I can understand Bournemouth are unhappy'published at 12:53 BST

England v Czech Republic (Tue, 19:45 BST)

Here's a bit more from Thomas Tuchel on Alex Scott's injury situation, and around the communication with Bournemouth: "We - the medical and physical department - are always in communication with all the players who are with us.

"We share information, this is a totally open process. I can understand that Bournemouth are not happy because they lose a key player.

"But I can just say that from the moment we took the decision there was absolutely not risk apparent to me or our physical staff.

    "It's a one off."

  6. 'Two-week window not guilty of everything'published at 12:50 BST

England v Czech Republic (Tue, 19:45 BST)

    England

Thomas Tuchel has also been discussing the pros and cons of having the squad together for an extended three-week camp, particularly in the context of the injuries that have arisen:

"We need to get the numbers right before we start making a case. Is it really more or is it the same amount [of games] as in two shorter little windows?" Tuchel says.

"I don't have the answer to that. The two-week window is not guilty for everything. If it is a thing, we will adapt and make the most of it as always.

"I didn't like the start of it after a long tournament to have a long window. There are also positives to it like we saw against Croatia after having three matches together.

"The team is together for longer, more training sessions, more meetings, more of the same language. You see improvements and automatisms clicking in. We made it a very good camp."

Fans are getting sick and tired of losing players to what is a glorified friendly. Teams in Europe and Carabao have nine games in 28 days or so before the next international break. Hope clubs pull players out, citing that player welfare comes first.

England boss Thomas Tuchel reiterates that he does not believe there was any "risk" involved with playing Alex Scott against Croatia, despite the Bournemouth midfielder's injury.

"On a human level, I feel bad that he does not get his next cap tomorrow," says Tuchel.

"In my mind, he started tomorrow.

"I would not have taken any risk, even if it was a big opportunity for him. We wanted him to start but if we had the slightest idea it was a risk [to play him], we would not have taken it. We never do this."

  9. 'Level of performance is the standard'published at 12:43 BST

England v Czech Republic (Tue, 19:45 BST)

    England

Following England's 7-0 demolition of Croatia, Thomas Tuchel says going forward the level of the performance should be the standard - and not necessarily to scoreline.

"If a similiar performance [to Croatia away] means 6-0 or 8-0 then we have the wrong expectations," Tuchel says.

"We should not expect that result. But if it's a similar performance in terms of humbleness, attitude, intensity on and off the ball, then that's what we want. That's the standard.

"Czech Republic gave Spain a lot of headaches. We saw improvement in their team. We should not over-expect in terms of results and creating chances.

"The things we can influence we want to influence on the same level but it can look different."

  10. Quick turnaround means chance of rotationpublished at 12:40 BST

Will Harry Kane equal Peter Shilton's Three Lions appearance record on Tuesday night? Most would expect so, but Tuchel had this to say on potential rotation:

"Unfortunately, it is the second time we play Saturday-Tuesday. If the game was on Wednesday, then there would be no need for rotation at all.

"Tomorrow, my feeling is a bit different because it is one day less and we had a flight in between.

"So it will be a mix [between rotation and keeping momentum]."

More from England boss Thomas Tuchel on Harry Kane: "All these number nines in world football, no matter in which league, they are built a bit different.

"They don't only do it so their team wins, they also do it for themselves and for the records, 'how many can I score? How many can I assist? Where is the next record?'

"That's what drives them and it's good that drives them. You will not find a striker of this calibre who does not have these individual goals."

  12. 'Everything Kane does is on the highest level'published at 12:32 BST

England boss Thomas Tuchel on Harry Kane potentially matching Peter Shilton's record 125 caps on Tuesday: "I'm not sure I have anymore words.

"He's on the shortlist for the Ballon d'Or. We've spoken so often about him and I try to find new words which then make no sense!

"Everything he does, he does it on the highest level, he does it consecutively and I am very sure he will be the one leading the team out onto the training pitch, he will lead the team in the warm-up and not do one step less or one step slower. That is the level he has.

"Since he took this major role for Bayern Munich, he found a new level. It's the highest level, on and off the pitch."

The amount of injuries during this break, most of them muscular, including the usually extremely robust Erling Haaland surely highlights it has been a mistake of an experiment. Whoever thought it a good idea after a long World Cup summer needs to be in for a performance review.

Asked if he is pleased with his side's performances during this camp, England boss Thomas Tuchel says he is reserving judgement until after the fourth and final match is played: "It's three matches only and we have one more to play. We will not take a positive reaction or do the debrief before the camp is finished.

"We have one more match to play and we have to show another performance, show the right attitude and if we continue in the way it's pointing [towards that] - because the three performances have been on a high level.

"The players get a lot of credit in the bank for that."

  15. England have 'added another layer' to playing stylepublished at 12:25 BST

England boss Thomas Tuchel has also been discussing the development of the Three Lions' style of play: "I never coached any team to follow my ideas when it's not the strength of the players, personality of the players or the nature of the team itself.

"It always needs to match and we've tried to implement this since we arrived.

"We've always played with high energy off the ball and a very aggressive style off the ball, to high press. Now we added another layer, the intensity was very high on the ball.

"We did a lot of runs, a lot of counter movements, high intensity runs and invested a lot in counter pressing. It's the next step. You need to be ready for the next one and not get carried away by what you did before."

Pundit and former Manchester United captain Roy Keane claimed Jude Bellingham could become one of the best midfielders of all time after his performance in England's victory over Croatia.

Asked about that comment, England boss Thomas Tuchel says: "[It's a] big one, that's what he's paid for as a pundit!

"I have a lot of respect for Roy Keane but I will not comment on it.

"If this is his opinion, it's a beautiful one. He's not attacking our player, it's a compliment, so no need to defend him or comment."

  17. Injury dropouts 'always the case'published at 12:19 BST

England v Czech Republic (Tue, 19:45 BST)

    England

On the number of players dropping out of the squad with injuries, England boss Thomas Tuchel says: "This is always the case when you name a squad.

"I'm never confident with a Friday press conference ahead of games on Saturday and Sunday. Could we not just wait until the Monday and make it easier for all of us?

"It's just what it is. From 23 or 24 players, two or three had to pull out. I can assure everyone that player welfare is priority number one.

"But new training style and training times, different positions to play maybe, increase the chance of injury."

  18. 'Alex didn't feel an injury'published at 12:16 BST

Here's what England boss Thomas Tuchel had to say in full on injuries to Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott and Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa: "We will we get updates throughout the day and we train later but it seems like everyone else is available.

"It is two different stories. Ezri felt discomfort when he came into camp, played with it against Spain and it got a bit worse so he stayed it camp and tried everything for the match against Czechia and it came too soon.

"He tried everything for the game in Croatia, got the green light and came through all the training sessions so was ready to play.

"Unfortunately, he got another hit on the quad and that caused a light trauma and we decided not to let him play through this pain, so he left camp to get treatment for both his issues now. I think nothing major but not worth the risk taking.

"With Alex, it's a strange one, I'm very sad about it. He trained in full before Croatia, did extra work after the training sessions, we knew he was in treatment but there were only green lights from him and the medics.

"When we were aware there was slight discomfort during the match and asked if he wanted to come off he said no. After the match, he said he could have played 90 minutes and didn't feel an injury.

"Even before the scan he didn't feel injured so it's a strange one. There was zero risk taken from our side."

  19. 'Kane does everything to highest level'published at 12:14 BST

Thomas Tuchel says he is not sure if he has any more words to describe captain Harry Kane.

"Everything he does, he does it on the highest level - and he does it consecutively," says Tuchel.

The England boss adds there will be rotation tomorrow night because of the quick turnaround from Saturday.
