Ipswich boss Gary O'Neil began with a team news update: "We're hoping Florentino [Luis] will be back around it. He's still got a bit of work to do but he's improving well. Azor [Matusiwa] will still miss the game, he's not quite back, Jack Taylor will still be out and Jaden Philogene won't make the game either. Hopefully we will get some better news next week but this week he will miss out. Really pleased with where the group is at, we're in a good place."

Ipswich Town

Ipswich boss Gary O'Neil on new signing Exequiel Palacios and whether he will feature on Sunday: "Yeah I'm sure you'll see him on Sunday. He's a talented boy, has obviously had some huge success over the last few years [with] club and national level. An incredible signing by the football club.

"I think the work that went in from everybody all summer really to try and attract people to the project and what we are trying to build, you can feel the belief around the place just constantly growing and constantly improving."

Ipswich Town

Ipswich boss Gary O'Neil on what the new signings show about the club's ambition: "The ambition that this place has, the support that they give coaches and the direction of travel is something that as soon as it came around I knew I wanted to be part of.

"For a newly promoted club to attract some of the players that we have, proven Premier League players in Issa [Diop] and Sasa [Lukic] and some players from all around the world, so really grateful for the owners backing, I know they are committed to making this club as special as they can.

"We've had a real good go in the window to make ourselves competitive which is needed if you look at [the] recent history of teams that are promoted from the Championship, you need to improve your squad fairly significantly to be competitive in the Premier League."

Ipswich Town

Finally, Ipswich boss Gary O'Neil was asked about a loan deal being agreed for Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham: "No, no update as far as I am aware. Sounds like you're further along with that than I am. Nothing to report on that.

"We're hopefully not finished, we're still trying to do some business. As to who that is and what positions that will be in, no update from me. We're still working hard to try and improve the group. My focus now is firmly on the game at the weekend."

Another Villa player who could depart before deadline day is Tammy Abraham.

Villa had been open to letting Abraham go despite only signing him from Besiktas for £18.25m in January.

Abraham was happy at Villa and preparing to fight for his place, but is now likely to move to Portman Road. It is due to be a straight loan, with no option or obligation for Ipswich to buy the 28-year-old.

Ipswich Town boss Gary O’Neil has spoken about the possibility of the striker making the move to Portman Road.

Aston Villa

Emery on what latest signing Leon Goretzka, will bring to his team: "Experience. High-level experience. He is a winner. He is a very competitive player, he's still young at 31-years-old and he's a good player to add into our squad.

"He is a versatile player, he can play in different positions and he arrives fit and he is training well. Hopefully on Monday he can be on the field."

Aston Villa

More from Emery on the pending departure of Ollie Watkins: "We took some decisions because it's good for the club and how we can understand our process for the club.

"It's crazy, with 30-years-old, we can have £50m for (Ezri) Konsa (who is 28) and for Watkins. Of course, we don't want to be a club to sell players, but the responsibility is there.

"But understanding the situation is clear. How we developed in the last year with some players and how we can sell some players now is completely the right decision.

"In football if you are expecting transition, maybe you are not in the right way. We have to rebuild the team as fast as possible. We have to accept our way, our decisions and why we are taking some decisions."

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery bid an emotional goodbye to forward Ollie Watkins in his news conference, with the 30-year-old set to join Al-Hilal.

Watkins refused to play against Brighton on Sunday and is due to complete his switch to the Saudi League today, as Villa prepare to bring in Nicolas Jackson.

"I can tell you now Watkins, his commitment and his behaviour was fantastic," said Emery.

"We didn't get a deal to finish his last match playing at Brighton, but he told us after the match he was sorry and he told us as well he made a mistake.

"He was wrong but we accepted it. The players as well because he always had very good behaviour and commitment with the club, with us and with me.

"For me, it's a fantastic guy, a fantastic guy even more than a player. I told him bye with a huge hug and with small tears.

"But now it's a new chapter here with Nicolas Jackson and we replace him."

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has spoken to the media this afternoon and confirmed he has said his goodbyes to striker Ollie Watkins, who is set to leave Villa Park for Al-Hilal.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Roberto de Zerbi on new Spurs signing Omar Marmoush:

"A great signing for us, a great player, another great player. Every one of us love him as a player and we hope he can do what he is able to.

"I think he can give more solutions in attack, we need players in attack capable to score goals, to play well with the ball also.

"Very fast player, great qualities and we are all happy, very happy."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Roberto de Zerbi on team news for Newcastle game:

"We are all in the right condition to play, maybe [Mohammed] Kudus can come on the bench, we have to see. [Micky] Van de Ven is right to play. We have a look, we have to understand at the beginning, or part of the game, like Savio, like Pedro [Porro].

"[Omar] Marmoush is available to play. Maybe also at the beginning of the game. [Destiny] Udogie is a good use for us, he's very important. He played 60 minutes well [against Charlton] as was the plan."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on injury issues: "We have had to be adaptable, versatile, you have to be that any way because things get thrown at you. What we have got is really good players in that position that have different attributes.

"You've seen Keane Lewis-Potter play, at times over the last two seasons. Back in last season and throughout pre-season he has been excellent. Rico [Henry] has had some injury concerns over the last period of time. We love Rico to bits as a player and what he brings and the fact that he has been at the club so long, he knows the culture of the club inside and out.

"He comes in to a competitive part of the pitch, Malick [Diouf], but he just adds to a strong area."

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on new signing El Hadji Malick Diouf: "Very good player, attributes that we really like. He's settled into the Premier League, new club, new environment, new culture in his last year at West Ham really well. I thought he had some eye-catching performances. Obviously a bit more due diligence, on it, on his character, how he would settle into our group. I just think he fits what we are about, age profile, attributes and he comes into it in an already competitive squad."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on Keane Lewis-Potter: "He is versatile, I think it is a super strength, and then sometimes when you are that versatile, you struggle to nail down one position. I think that is pretty fair when you scrutinise that but he is so valuable to have in the squad. Before we signed Malick I said we could play Keano in different positions throughout the season. I don't think that will change."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews on whether there will any more signings: "I am not entirely sure. I mentioned it the other day, when the window closes I will be very happy and I meant that. Malick just adds to the quality and competition that we have. Will there be anymore? I am genuinely not sure at the moment. Maybe a couple of loans going out.

"The way we work, we were keen to get Malick done but if it didn't work out, the players [we have], we're in a really good position to be able to navigate through certainly the first part of the season and into January.

"If it is right, we will do it, if not, then I think we will leave be."

Leeds’ opponents on Sunday are next to have their say, including Brentford boss Keith Andrews, who has just signed El Hadji Malick Diouf in a deal worth up to £40m.

Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel Farke on how possible it is to involve Ilia Gruev on Sunday: "Second week in training but he has missed more or less four months without playing a game so we have to make a decision. Physically he is edging closer and closer, he also looks good on the training pitch.

"Normally after such a long time you would give a player perhaps some minutes with the under-21 team or in-house friendly, but he is an experienced player. If I need him I would have no problems to call him to the squad. We have now, thank God, a situation where we don't have to rush Ilia because all the free are available but every day will help him.

Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel Farke on the status of injured players: "It's [Ilia] Gruev's second week training with the team so he's edging closer and closer. Also some good news was Gudmundsson and Gnonto, as it stands they will join us this afternoon [in training] for the first time after their injuries. We have to wait to see how their body reacts, obviously we just have two days but definitely good news. As it stands, all players are available."

Leeds United

Leeds boss Daniel Farke on the club's transfer window: "We are in a good position. Very pleased with our window so far. We will stay aware because the feeling is that we want to do something more. We're definitely in a good place."

On what positions they will strengthen: "I don't want to speak too much about names and profiles because it just puts the prices up when other teams listen. It relatively obvious where we need a bit but I don't want to comment."
