Lauren Hemp has never stopped running. She has been phenomenal, giving the full-backs a torrid time.

Just determined, dogged hard work to get something on it.

Full-time in Slovakia, where Ukraine have won 3-1.

Barring a second-leg turnaround or two, it looks like an England v Ukraine rematch for a place at the 2027 World Cup.

Le Tissier is just class. So impressed with her consistency and effort in every game she plays for club and country. Really pleased for her that she’s on the score sheet.

Fafailia Petaloti is almost caught out as a crossfield ball bounces past her, which Lauren Hemp hooks back to keep in play from the byeline.

Petaloti scrambles to get hold of the ball, clattering one of her team-mates in the process.

That will do the world of good to Alessia Russo.

England have never been out of control but now it seems Greece are on their heels. England are just pinning them in their own 18-yard box.

    It's a demolition job.

    Alessia Russo (67 mins)

And now the goals are flowing.

Beth Mead beats two players to the right of the box, before playing a low pass back to Alessia Russo who gets the ball out of her feet before planting a shot into the bottom corner.

Not a vintage display, but England are getting the job done.

Well sometimes it's trickery, sometimes it's pure skill, sometimes it's just smashing it as hard as you can. The power that that girl packs is unreal.

She has had to bide her time hasn't she, Maya Le Tissier? Subservient to Lucy Bronze, she has taken this opportunity in the number-two shirt and to get a goal.

    What a feeling for her.

Greece need to make sure the floodgates don't open here.

They are caught out playing out from the back, and are fortunate that the eventual England shot is blazed well wide by Georgia Stanway.

Maya le Tissier has been England's best player on the night and has been overlapping really well down the right-hand side.

She doesn't tend to get many starts for England with Lucy Bronze ahead of her in the pecking order so she enjoyed that.

    Deserved!

Keira Walsh plays in Maya le Tissier to the right of the Greece box, and she slams in her first goal for England with pure power. Fafailia Petaloti gets fingertips to it, but cannot prevent being beaten at her near post.

Many may see le Tissier as a centre back, but she has been excellent on the right tonight.

Eesh, almost a nightmare for the Greece defence.

A wayward back pass looks to be heading for a corner, Fafailia Petaloti slides to keep it in play - and almost leaves an open goal for Alessia Russo as the ball runs free.

Petaloti has to smother at the feet of Russo, and the ball squirts out of play. Somehow, Greece escape with a goal-kick.

Greece are definitely tiring because they have dropped so deep and England are getting into the box a lot quicker.

Their manager Vassileios Spertos has been quite animated in the second half.

It's a good physical contest. Every single Greece player is giving their everything and matching every England player for physicality as best they can .

England have got to stay patient and let their quality shine.

    Greece 0-1 England

Maya le Tissier continues to be the standout England performer tonight.

Lauren James does well in the middle and feeds the onrushing right back on the right. Le Tissier's shot is well struck but is palmed behind by teenage keeper Fafailia Petaloti.

Wow, the goalie has got special mystical powers - making Beth Mead just fall at her feet.

It was a well-intentioned run from Beth Mead but she did go too early.

Well, we've sat through enough turgid England qualifying performances in the men's game.

Now we have one in women's football. Equality, I suppose.
