    Positives for England so far?

Maya le Tissier has looked lively as an attacking right back, providing opportunities going forward in the absence of Lucy Bronze.

    And that's about it, really.

The three players around her defending for England just evaporated and gave her the space.

She unleashed the most ferocious shot. It left Hannah Hampton stood still, waiting and hoping that was not going to nestle in the goal.

    Wake up England!

There were gasps in the media box when that strike crashed off the crossbar.

England are huge favourites in this game and one error almost led to an incredible Greece opener.

Leah Williamson was beaten so easily and Hannah Hampton was caught off her line!

    Greece 0-0 England

England have had 82% possession and nine shots on goal.

But Greece's first shot of the match is the closest either side has come to an opener.

Oh my word, Greece so close to a stunning lead.

Ioanna Papatheodorou carries the ball from midfield, and with no challenge incoming she lets fly from 25 yards and the ball clatters the joint between the left post and crossbar.

    Hannah Hampton was stranded.

England give the ball away in midfield, allowing Greece their first attack of note.

But Kallisti Brouksair's cross from the left finds the midriff of Hannah Hampton.

I was thrilled because I wanted Lauren Hemp to pull the trigger more quickly and she did do on this occasion.

She drove it hard and low - any little nick on it from an England team-mate and that would have been goalwards.

Lauren Hemp is found in space to the left of the box, but her low drive arrows narrowly wide of the far post.

She looks annoyed not to have got that on target.

That was the position in which Lauren James lobbed the goalkeeper from a few minutes ago. She didn't have any backlift, as we often see from her, but it was a disappointing effort. She was a bit annoyed afterwards.

James' free-kick floats comfortably wide from a Greek perspective.

The hosts will be delighted to have reached the half-hour mark without conceding.

Can Lauren James provide the breakthrough here?

She's stood over an England free-kick, 30 yards from goal...

Lauren James all over, a little too nonchalant to get back onside before that strike… but that’s what she’s got in her and hopefully she does something similar which stands!

The goalkeeper has made one save she would expect to make but other than that, England have not troubled Rafaella Petaloti as much as they would have liked to.

They have clearly dominated possession. They've got to make it count.

This is an attack versus defence drill now - England are camped in the Greek half.

Greece are always leaving their two-player front line up the pitch though, aiming to catch England on the break.

It means that even though the Lionesses are dominating possession, they still have to play with an element of caution.

It's a really eerie atmosphere and reminds me of covering games during Covid. With a running track around the pitch, the fans are so far away and it's a low turnout as well which doesn't help. When they cheered that disallowed goal from Lauren James, it echoed around the stadium.

It was finished beautifully but was just a warm-up for Lauren James - that one didn't count.

I think the assistant referee may have gone off for gyros.

Lauren James was very clearly offside - I'm not sure why the flag didn't go up immediately.

Oh, that is magnificent! What a shame it won't count...

Lauren James picks up the ball 25 yards from goal, and lofts a beautiful lob over the keeper and into the net.

However, replays show she was a yard offside.

That was absolutely flying! Central area, dangerous.

It's a strong left hand from the young goalkeeper.
