Sutton United have signed experienced defender Jordan Moore-Taylor from fellow National League side Forest Green Rovers.

The 32-year-old, who came through the Exeter City academy, arrives after playing more than 160 games in six seasons with Rovers.

Head coach Chris Agutter said Moore-Taylor's leadership would be important for Sutton as they seek to improve on a 19th-place finish last season.

"He's proven, experienced, has a brilliant track record of winning and is a brilliant character. He is a leader," Agutter told the club website, external.

Moore-Taylor will officially become a Sutton player when his Forest Green contract expires on 1 July.

"I'm delighted to be here," said Moore-Taylor. "After speaking to the gaffer, what he wants to achieve next year is something I got really excited by and hopefully we have a really good season."
