Reading have signed forward Jacob Brown on a two-year deal following his departure from the Royals' League One rivals Luton.

Brown spent three years with the Hatters, scoring seven goals in 60 games.

He played the second half of last season on loan with Portsmouth in the Championship.

The 28-year-old was part of the Barnsley side that won promotion to the second tier in 2019 while he also made more than 140 appearances for Stoke, scoring 30 goals, during a three-season stay in Staffordshire.

Brown is the Royals' third signing this summer after Kyreece Lisbie and Udoka Godwin-Malife.
