Will Gerwyn Price restore his two-set advantage?

Some more strong scoring from Price in this one and he finishes with tops, tops on 99 to win the leg in 15 darts.

Price now throws for the set.

    Price 3-2 Humphries (1-1)

No score to start the leg for Gerwyn Price but he manages to win it anyway.

He eventually leaves 94, but Luke Humphries is waiting on 40.

It doesn't matter, though, as treble 18, 20 and double 10 seal the leg for Price.

  4. Humphries holdspublished at 21:15 BST

    Price 3-2 Humphries (0-1)

Will Gerwyn Price find his groove again?

He starts well with a 120, but can only follow it up with 47. He then responds, though, with a 140 and is first to a finish after Luke Humphries only scores 60 - but it's an awkward 99 awaiting for Price.

Humphries leaves 100 to keep up pressure and there is 40 left for Price after he scores 59.

The Englishman makes him pay with treble 20, 20 and double 10.

    Price 3-2 Humphries

    What a leg that was!

120, 180 and 130 for Gerwyn Price from his first three throws. 92, 140 and 140 for Luke Humphries.

71 is the target for Price but he can't keep the set alive as he goes inside on tops.

    Humphries then takes out 43.

There's only one set in it now.

Luke Humphries is certainly playing at a level that is competitive but he is always under pressure and you can't keep doing that in a long-form final.

Things are starting to turn in Humphries' favour, not dramatically but they are turning.

  10. Humphries breakspublished at 21:07 BST

    Price 3-1 Humphries (1-2)

Gerwyn Price definitely seems to have dipped a bit.

Neither player scores that well in this leg and Humphries is first down to a finish - albeit 155. Price then leaves 84.

82 from Humphries sets up an awkward finish but Price misses on the bullseye as he looks to take out 84, so Humphries is given the chance to take the leg.

He takes it in expert fashion with treble 19 and double eight.

  11. Humphries holdspublished at 21:05 BST

    Price 3-1 Humphries (1-1)

Gerwyn Price finds a maximum in this leg, but starting with 40 and throwing 58 later proves costly.

92, 100, 99 and 100 for Luke Humphries. He then narrowly misses out on checking out 110, going inside on double 16.

It doesn't matter, though, as Price only finds 65 with 125 left and Humphries takes the leg with his next dart.

This is probably the best I've seen Price play in a major for about five years, still a ways to go obviously but very encouraging so far.

That's more like it from Gerwyn Price.

A 13-darter to take the first leg after starting.

Luke Humphries is having to do ridiculous things to stick to the coattails of Gerwyn Price.

  17. Humphries pulls a set backpublished at 20:58 BST

    Price 3-1 Humphries

120, 140, then 99 makes for a very good start for Gerwyn Price he's first to a finish despite not having the darts.

Luke Humphries then scores well when it matters to find a 180 to leave 105.

Price can't see off 142 and Humphries punishes him with treble 19, 16 and double 16.

Will he find a way to turn this around?

  18. Price holds to level the setpublished at 20:56 BST

    Price 3-0 Humphries (2-2)

Slow starts from both, with Gerwyn Price getting 40 and Luke Humphries finding 57.

Price takes us to a decider, though, wrapping up the leg in style by taking out 130 with a bullseye finish.

Luke Humphries is just about clinging on here.

  20. Humphries holdspublished at 20:54 BST

    Price 3-0 Humphries (1-2)

Luke Humphries' best chances have come when Gerwyn Price has started slowly.

It takes Price six darts to get his first double.

But Humphries doesn't do that much better with his scoring and a maximum later in the leg sees Price be the first down to a finish, leaving 121.

Price can't see it off as he searches for a bullseye and misses. Humphries then punishes him by taking out 90 with treble 19 and double 16 after a stray one to start the visit.
