  1. 'Robinson has thrived under responsibility'published at 16:36 BST

    Surrey v Sussex 279-8

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Radio Sussex

Outside of Sussex there were eyebrows raised when Ollie Robinson was appointed skipper for the season, however those inside the club knew this was another shrewd appointment by Paul Farbrace.

Robinson has thrived under the added responsibility, and has already scored 209 runs this season surpassing the 150 he scored in the whole of last season.

In Jack Carson he's found a fighter he never throws in the towel, and these two tother with Fynn Hudson-Prentice have rescued Sussex from the depths of 92-7.

The wicket appears to have flattened out having offering offered assistance this morning as Sussex have fought their way back into the match

  2. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 16:28 BST

    Somerset 63-3 v Yorkshire 162

The hosts make it to tea trailing Yorkshire by 99 runs.

Archie Vaughan, James Rew and Tom Lammonby all fell in single figures but Josh Thomas has played well for his 36 from 46 balls, and he is alongside Tom Abell who has taken it steady on five from 22.

Before that we had the carnage of Yorkshire's innings when they went from 115-3 at lunch to all out by 3pm in an astonishing collapse.

Finally something positive to shout about from a Kent point of view! Well played Skip. Great knock.

  4. Tea at The Ovalpublished at 16:18 BST

    Surrey v Sussex 274-8

Very much Surrey's morning, very much Sussex's afternoon.

We've had a real game of two halves already.

Sussex were 0-1 and 92-7 as they were on the end on the blistering Surrey attack early on.

But during the afternoon the counter attack has continued to gather pace with Fynn Hudson-Prentice out for 53 before Ollie Robinson (65*) and Jack Carson (61*) came together for a 100 partnership.

  5. Tea at Southamptonpublished at 16:13 BST

    Hants v Glam 262-1

Two good sessions work under the belt for Glamorgan who stride off with purpose at 262-1.

Kiran Carlson's explosive innings (112*) has contained some superb aggressive shots while Zain ul-Hassan has been more quiet accumulation.

Hampshire have not bowled with any great plan or purpose with the honourable exception of Sonny Baker who has deserved at least a wicket for his troubles.

  6. 'Another extraordinary session'published at 16:13 BST

    Surrey v Sussex 273-8

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's been another extraordinary session in completely the opposite way to the one this morning.

  7. Tea at Grace Roadpublished at 16:11 BST

    Leics v Notts 282-2

Time for a cuppa at Uptonsteel Grace Road and it will be Leicestershire who will need extra sugar.

That has been two sessions which have gone the way of the visitors despite the hosts winning the toss and electing to bowl.

Ben Slater and Ben Duckett piled on 131 for the second wicket with the former reaching his 16th first-class hundred in the middle session.

Joe Clarke and Slater have already reached 54 runs for the third.

The Foxes need a good think about how they can stop this from becoming a day on which the win is taken off the table.

  8. 100 runs

partnership for Carson & Robinsonpublished at 16:07 BST

    Surrey v Sussex 273-8

Ollie Robinson (65*) and Jack Carson (60*) continue to defy Surrey and add to the visitors' total.

Much less talk of the green pitch at The Oval this afternoon.

  9. Postpublished at 16:07 BST

    Northants v Worcs 226-9

Worcestershire's last-wicket stand is now worth 40... Olly Hannon-Dalby has contributed precisely zero.

Gareth Roderick is motoring and up to 120.

  10. 'Truly deserved for Carlson'published at 16:04 BST

    Hants v Glam 251-1

    Michael Carberry
Former England batter on BBC Radio Lancashire

    Very well played Kiran Carlson.

That's his 16th first-class century and very much one of his better ones.

Truly deserved. He's played very well. He's been busy, he's had intent and he's meant business from ball one.

He's put Glamorgan in a very, very strong position and hasn't really put a foot wrong in this innings.

  11. Postpublished at 16:04 BST

    Leics v Notts 279-2

Break in play while Josh Davey receives attention from the Leicestershire physio.

Not quite sure what's happened here but Davey, who appeared to slip over when the ball was coming to him in the outfield, is at least up.

It does not appear to have concerned his team-mates too much and the bowler is walking to the pavilion for an early tea.

  12. 100 runs

    for Carlsonpublished at 15:59 BST

    Hants v Glam 251-1

Kiran Carlson has walked into a wonderful straight drive for four, flamingoed a six over square leg and then cut late for another four to move to a 16th first-class century.

It's 14 in three balls off Sonny Baker who has had no luck today.

That has been a superb knock, eclipsing the slower effort of Zain-ul-Hassan at the other end, and he has brought up a batting bonus point in the process.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15:58 BST

    Rew c Bean b White 7 (Somerset 35-3 v Yorkshire 162)

James Rew may be the third-highest run scorer in the County Championship Division One but he can't add many to his season total today.

Only seven in fact and he won't enjoy watching the dismissal back.

He steps across the crease and down the pitch a little but as he does so the bounce seems to catch him out and he edges it to Fin Bean who is in close at third slip.

A second wicket for Jack White who has 2-13 from six overs.

  14. Robinson replaces injured Roachpublished at 15:51 BST

    Middlesex 174-4 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's a big day for the Durham bowler Luke Robinson. The 22-year-old wasn't in the starting 11 this morning, but is now making his first-class debut at Lord's as a substitute replacement for the injured Kemar Roach.

And his mum and dad just happen to be here to see if after deciding to head to London for a day at the cricket.

Robinson is a right-arm quick who has played five One-Day Cup matches and seven T20s. It will be interesting to see how he gets on.

I questioned earlier how Durham would cope without Roach? He walked off after 9.1 overs because of a groin strain. Middlesex were one wicket down at the time.

At lunch they were 82-1 and then three quick wickets fell as Sam Robson clipped Matty Potts to Kasey Aldridge at first slip on 87. Ben Raine then took two wickets in an over to see off Leus du Plooy for four and Ben Geddes for a third-baller.

Du Plooy was caught behind the delivery after he survived a huge shout for lbw. Geddes fell lbw.

Max Holden has just reached his half-century. It's come in a very patient 136 balls and included four boundaries.

  15. 'Lammonby's disappointing run continues'published at 15:50 BST

    Somerset 26-2 v Yorkshire 162

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

It was a pretty plum lbw and Tom Lammonby's disappointing run continues.

I'm not quite sure why he tried to turn that into mid-wicket - a straight ball like that. He missed it and paid the price.

This game is moving on rapidly.

  16. 'Centurion Roderick the standout batter'published at 15:50 BST

    Northants v Worcestershire 207-9

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Even allowing for the excellence of the home side’s out cricket and in particular for the fine bowling of Ben Sanderson (4-57) Worcestershire must be disappointed with their batting effort on what I still think looks a pretty good pitch.

Gareth Roderick has been the stand-out batter, just reaching his century, but has deserved better support.

Ethan Brookes (32) and Beyers Swanepoel (17) promised to stick around but were unable to do so. Calvin Harrison with two catches and two wickets has played a big part.

  17. 50 runs

for Ollie Robinsonpublished at 15:49 BST

    Surrey v Sussex 250-8

The Sussex skipper is the third lower order Sussex batter to make a half-century.

Batters number eight, nine and 10 have all made 50 and Sussex needed them to having been 92-7 earlier.

What a fightback this has been from the visitors.

  18. 'Baker has bowled with intelligence'published at 15:46 BST

    Hants v Glam 234-1

    Michael Carberry
Former England batter on BBC Radio Lancashire

Sonny Baker has been very impressive with the ball again today. I think he's bowled with a lot of intelligence, he's been very patient.

Glamorgan have looked very comfortable at this stage.

  19. 150 runs

    150 partnershippublished at 15:44 BST

    Hants v Glam 234-1

Sonny Baker aside this is becoming a very flat bowling performance from Hants who are leaking runs to this pair.

Zain-ul-Hassan (85) and Kiran Carlson (88) are past the 150 mark for the second wicket.

  20. 100 runs

    for Bell-Drummondpublished at 15:43 BST

    Division Two latest

Kent captain Daniel Bell-Drummond has gone to a swashbuckling century at almost a run-a-ball. Most of his runs have come in boundaries, striking 18 fours and a six.

Kent are 252-5 against Derbyshire, a fine recovery from 93-4.

Worcestershire have crept past 200 at Northants, with Gareth Roderick unbeaten on 95. They're 201-9.

Middlesex are trying to rebuild after losing those three quick wickets against Durham and have moved to 168-4 at Lord's.
