Charlie Dean, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was great to get up to the score that we got to. Kempy [Freya Kemp] was exceptional, as were all the other girls. To be able to defend that was pretty special. Eccles was brilliant and it was nice to have Lindsey and Belly open up again.

"Freya really took the momentum in to our bowling innings and I think we needed a score like that to put pressure on their batters. For her to go out like that, especially when there has been questions abourt our power, is brilliant. I know how good she can be so it was nice to see that.

Do you see her role right at the end of the innings or do you see some flexibility? "That's a good question. Kempy is a very dynamic batter so potentially give her more time? I don't see why not. She was brilliant and I'm looking forward to Taunton, hopefully we can put in a similar performance.

"We know how powerful India can be so we knew we really had to execute towards the back end with the power that kept coming in. To be able to back ourselves up with that bowling performance was really impressive, especially after Chelsmford. It feels great to bounce back.

"To be able to win and keep the series on the line is brilliant. Looking forward to Taunton."

One word of caution - it was another disappointing powerplay for England. Their run-rate in this year this year is just 6.7, the lowest they have managed since 2020.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "Freya Kemp took the game from us, the way she batted in the last two overs.

"We started very well. We played too many dot balls in the middle, I think that really cost us.

"Unfortunately Yastika Bhatia was not connecting with the ball, Jemimah Rodrigues got runs in the last game but that didn't work for us.

"We never thought this situation would come as Bhatia batted well in the first game. That's the game sometimes, you click sometimes and you don't."

Freya Kemp, speaking to Sky Sports: "The game in Chelmsford didn't go the way we wanted it to so it's nice to bounce back. A good team performance all around. The team are very pleased.

"I think we set up the innings very nicely. Charlie [Dean] has spoken a lot about trying to fire at the back end and get some good runs off the death overs. It's nice to do that role for the team today.

Do you see that as your role or would you like a go higher up the order? "No, It's nice for the girls at the top of the order to face as many balls as possible. I think any batter would like to face lots of balls but it's nice not to have to. They did a great job up the front today, I think Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Sophia Dunkley did a great job setting up the powerplay and Amy Jones and Alice Capsey through the middle were great as well.

"I am always trying to improve and look at different plans that teams have against me and counter them. It's been a good challenge the wide stuff, just trying to come up with some answers. It's nice to be back bowling and to get a few wickets."

That over from Charlie Dean, backed up by Sophie Ecclestone, was a moment in the game when India should have got 12 runs but only got three.

It's important England have a decider now, in terms of having something on the line. If they can get another close game in a decider against a team as good as India, this is what England will have hoped for in their World Cup preparation.

    And that's that!

Having been comprehensively beaten by India in the first T20 on Thursday, England take this match comfortably - winning by 26 runs.

An Arundhati Reddy single ends the match, and Sophie Ecclestone finishes with figures of 1-24.

England's bowlers really did fantastic work out of the powerplay, stifling India's chase with the tourists losing a flurry of wickets as the required run-rate ramped up.

The cameraman has run on the pitch, does he think the game is done? There's one more to go... oh, he's realised and is chasing the batter off now.

    Woops.

It doesn't really matter now, but Shree Charani goes as the India batters attempt a two from Arundhati's strike to mid-wicket.

She's well short of her ground coming to the bowler's end and Sophie Ecclestone takes off the bails.
