A few final thoughts from you.....

Lancs had Durham 124-7 in their first innings. An embarrassing performance from then on..

    Kevin, Preston

Should Surrey be penalised for a below average pitch given that there was no chance of a result for second home game in a row?

    Martin, Bristol

Sorry but over rates should only apply in the 1st innings when the game is meaningful. Having a wickie or any part timer bowling in the 2nd innings of a dead match just to speed up the over rate to avoid penalties is farcical.

  6. 'A walk in the park for Durham'published at 17:04 BST

    Durham 295 & 336 v Lancashire 370 & 260-9 dec - Durham win by 8 wickets

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

That has turned into an absolute walk in the park for Durham after a difficult morning.

It's thoroughly deserved with an excellent partnership.

    What a game of cricket!

  7. GLAMORGAN DRAW WITH LEICESTERSHIREpublished at 17:00 BST

    Glamorgan 440 & 137-2 v Leicestershire 586-7 dec

The game comes to an end as the clock reaches 17:00 with Glamorgan just nine runs short of clearing their first-innings deficit at Sophia Gardens.

Leicestershire declared with a 146-run lead after Jonny Tattersall scored 112, a 200-ball innings featuring seven fours.

Josh Hull bowled with hostility for the Foxes, striking Kiran Carlson a couple of painful blows on the body, but the Glamorgan skipper kept Asa Tribe company for the final 20 odd overs, adding 68 together.

Tribe finishes unbeaten on 67, a mature innings which again underlined his international potential, albeit on a very flat pitch.

  8. DURHAM BEAT LANCASHIRE BY EIGHT WICKETSpublished at 16:56 BST

    Durham 295 & 336-2 v Lancashire 370 & 260-9 dec

Emilio Gay whips the ball off his pads and runs through for a single to give Durham an eight-wicket win over Lancashire.

He finishes unbeaten on 159 alongside David Bedingham who is also unbeaten on 129 - their partnership was worth a massive 290.

Durham were under serious pressure first thing this morning and fell to 46-2 at one point - but they didn't lose another wicket all day.

Gay and Bedingham looked so assured from the minute they entered the action and didn't really survive any scares, they just played magnificent cricket that Lancashire had no answer to.

  9. NOTTS DRAW WITH WARWICKSHIREpublished at 16:52 BST

    Nottinghamshire 279 & 537-7 dec v Warwickshire 459

A maximum haul of bonus points, plus the eight for the draw, takes Warwickshire to the top of Division One as the teams shake hands on a draw at Trent Bridge.

That will provide compensation for the Bears fielders who have spent many hours in the field in the Notts second innings, in which Kyle Verreynne made 115.

The home side added 227 on the final day fort the loss of three wickets, two of them taken by off-spinner Rob Yates, including Joe Clarke for 80, who was bowled after a stand of 180 with Verreynne.

The game comes to an end as Notts declare with a 357-run lead.

All the hard work came this morning.

The tempo and the pace of the innings have been fantastic.

  12. SURREY DRAW WITH ESSEXpublished at 16:50 BST
    Breaking

Handshakes all round, a scenario that has looked inevitable since early afternoon.

Dean Elgar finishes on 107 not out, with Charlie Allison unbeaten on 35.

Three consecutive draws for Surrey, while Essex will be content to have ended their losing streak.

150 for Emilio Gaypublished at 16:49 BST

Emilio Gay takes Tom Bailey for four and reaches 150 for the innings.

    Durham are almost home.

  15. Postpublished at 16:48 BST

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 299-2

One of the most absurd aspects of Ben Foakes' stint with the ball is that Surrey have two other players in their side who have kept wicket for England in Tests.

Jamie Smith, the current Test gloveman, and Ollie Pope. Neither are keeping wicket to Foakes!

He's bowled quite decently in his 10 deliveries, which have gone for a total of four runs.

  16. YORKSHIRE DRAW WITH SUSSEXpublished at 16:47 BST

    Yorkshire 511 v Sussex 502 & 324-8

The players will not be coming back on after heading off for bad light and the match is drawn.

13 points apiece for these two.

A first draw of the season for Sussex after two wins in their opening two games.

Yorkshire are still winless this season after two draws and a defeat.

    Glamorgan 440 & 122-2 v Leics 586-7 dec

Leicestershire breezing through the overs now.

Stevie Eskinazi is now in the attack, having previously bowled 18 balls in his first-class career.

Glamorgan need 22 more to wipe out the visitors' lead. Kiran Carlson pads up and Eskinazi feels obliged to appeal even though it wouldn't have gone anywhere close to the stumps.

  18. Ben Foakes bowling at The Ovalpublished at 16:41 BST

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 288-2

And here we go... Ben Foakes has bowled one over in his first-class career up to now.

This will be the second, with Foakes' trundling medium-pace action. A little reminiscent of Graham Gooch, perhaps?

  19. 250 runs

250 partnership for Gay & Bedinghampublished at 16:38 BST

    Durham 298-2 – require 38 to win

Another milestone ticked off for this duo.

The 250 partnership off 305 balls.

Just 38 to knock off now.

  20. Postpublished at 16:38 BST

    Surrey 472 v Essex 409 & 284-2

We've already seen a few long-hops from Dom Sibley in his five overs after tea and there's still time for another of Surrey's 'occasional' bowlers to turn his arm over.

Ben Foakes has taken off his pads and gloves and handed them to Jordan Clark, so it's quite possible we'll get to see the Surrey wicketkeeper bowling before the curtain falls on this contest.
