Harry Brook looks like he's playing Test cricket here.

    John, Plymouth

  2. Eng 49-2published at 4 overs

Ravi Bishnoi's run-up is like a young deer on roller skates.

Jacob Bethell goes down on one knee to the last-but-final ball of the over and smears the spinner wide of long-on for four.

Fair to say England have recovered from an opening over where they lost both openers.

  3. Eng 43-2published at 3.1 overs

India spinner Ravi Bishnoi starts with a back foot no-ball.

Jacob Bethell muscles a free hit behind square for four.

    England have some momentum now.

Axar Patel does really well, but the momentum was always going to take him over the boundary.

27 off that over? This is incredible.

    And another.

Harry Brook whips a full toss square from Arshdeep Singh. The fielder on the rope, Axar Patel, attempts to parry it back but cannot quite get it back over the boundary sponge.

A quick check from the third umpire and it's chalked up as a six.

    That's 27 off the over.

  6. 6 runs

    Eng 32-2published at 2.5 overs

    Even bigger from Harry Brook!

He stands tall and uses his levers to whack Arshdeep Singh just wide of the Point at Old Trafford and towards the back of the stand.

  7. 6 runs

    Eng 26-2published at 2.4 overs

    Stand. And. Deliver.

Harry Brook wallops Arshdeep Singh straight down the ground for four with a shot brimming with confidence and intent.

Next ball Brook smokes the India left-arm seamer over mid-wicket for six.

Okay, so I think it's time to say 'thank you' and 'goodbye' to Jos Buttler! Plus Phil Salt has had his day! Shocking. Brainless.

    Chris

Why is Jos Buttler still in the England team?

    Mark, North Yorkshire

  9. Eng 11-2published at 2 overs

Harry Brook takes on the hook shot to a bumper from Harshit Rana's final delivery and gets a lucky break when a bottom edge bounces down towards the stumps, but misses them.

This is just the third time England have lost two wickets in the first over of an innings in T20Is. All three instances have come while chasing, they have won one and lost one.

  11. Eng 9-2published at 1.3 overs

No messing around from Harry Brook today.

He dances down the pitch to Harshit Rana, then readjusts to cut him through point for four.

    Back-to-back boundaries.

India are buzzing around the field, they are right on their toes.

  13. Eng 5-0published at 1.2 overs

Harshit Rana with India's second over.

He strays on to Harry Brook's pads and the England skipper clips it square for four. Pure timing.

Phil Salt must be the most boom or bust player I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately more bust than boom.

  15. Eng 1-2published at 1 over

Jacob Bethell, wisely, defends the last ball of Arshdeep Singh's over.

It's the worst ball of the over from Arshdeep Singh. Jos Buttler is unlucky, timed it beautifully but hit it straight to the fielder. A dream start for India. This game feels 50-50, suddenly!

Jos Buttler has a bit of a waft - similar to the ball which got Phil Salt - but he plays and misses at Arshdeep Singh.

Next ball, Buttler flicks a fuller delivery to mid-wicket...but straight into the hands of the fielder at mid-wicket.

Buttler timed that well enough alright, but just picked out Varun Chakaravarthy who took a sharp catch above his head.

    India's batting today:

    • Overs 1-13: 130-3
    • Overs 14-19.5: 37-3
    • Last Seven balls: 23-1
  19. Eng 1-1published at 0.2 overs

That brings England skipper Harry Brook to the crease.

He pushes Arshdeep Singh towards mid-off to get off the mark straight away.

One ball in and all of a sudden 191 seems like a massive score.
