  1. Lunch at Worcesterpublished at 13:06 BST

    Middx 339 & 82-3 v Worc 265

Despite losing their third wicket in the final over before lunch Middlesex look well placed in this match. They lead by 156 on a pitch still doing a fair bit.

The opening pair of Sam Robson and Ben Geddes survived a few difficult moments to share a 50 partnership before both falling in successive overs from Ben Allison.

The fall of Max Holden to Ethan Brookes at the end of the session gives Worcestershire some hope but they won't want to be chasing much more than 250.

  2. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 13:05 BST

    Northants 465 v Gloucs 268 & 53-0 (f/o)

Joe Phillips plays out a maiden to Luke Procter and that's lunch.

A good morning for the home side who took the five remaining Gloucestershire wickets for just 35 runs and enforced the follow-on.

However, the visitors have responded well second time around, with Cameron Bancroft (37*) and Phillips (6*) putting on an unbroken stand of 53.

  3. Postpublished at 13:04 BST

    Lancs 83-2 - target 424

Keaton Jennings edges off Hasan Mahmud but it flies through the gap in the slips and that's four more to the Lancashire total.

  4. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:03 BST

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 118 & 120-2

Huge wicket for Sussex right before the interval.

Kiran Carlson takes a single for an overthrow, bringing Asa Tribe back onto strike and he is bowled by spinner Jack Carson, who findsa bit of turn from outside off stump.

Tribe is not a happy man - he faced 126 balls for his 64, his fourth half-century of the season.

A wicket each for the Sussex spinners in the final few minutes of the morning session and Glamorgan need another 246 to avoid an innings defeat with eight wickets left.

  5. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:03 BST

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 148-4

So far, so good for Somerset as they look to build up a big target for Notts to chase down.

Lewis Goldsworthy fell to Brett Hutton with the first ball of the day and Hutton bowled a remarkable eight maidens in a row for Notts.

Nightwatchman Alfie Ogborne stuck around for more than an hour for 17 but brothers James Rew (33*) and Thomas Rew (19*) have kept things going to put Somerset 265 ahead with six wickets still in hand.

  6. Lunch at Scarboroughpublished at 13:02 BST

    Yorkshire 469 & 27-1 v Warwickshire 263

Jonny Bairstow's decision not to enforce the follow on despite having a first innings lead of 206 puts the onus on Yorkshire to score as well as they can and get Warwickshire in again before the close.

The Bears lost their last three wickets for 38 this morning with Hassan Ali claiming two and Ed Barnard finishing 83 not out.

Adam Lyth was deceived by an inswinger from the first division's top wicket taker Ethan Bamber and was bowled not offering a shot.

But after his maiden first class century in the first innings Will Luxton has batted confidently and is on 18 helping Yorkshire push their lead to 233

  7. Postpublished at 13:01 BST

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 147-4

Into what will probably be the final over before lunch at Trent Bridge and it's Liam Patterson-White who is bowling it.

    Holden b Brookes 10 (Middx 339 & 82-3 v Worcs 265)

Just before lunch Ethan Brookes, bowling round the wicket to the left hander, gets one through Max Holden to bowl him and claim Worcestershire's third wicket of the morning.

    Ahmed lbw Harmer 23 (Leics 187 & 143-3 (f/o) Essex 401)

A promising morning is beginning to unravel for the home side as Rehan Ahmed becomes the third wicket to fall.

He sweeps once too often and is pinned bang in front to become Simon Harmer's second victim. No debate there.

Nick Kelly joins Lewis Hill in the middle with eight minutes to lunch.

  10. Postpublished at 12:58 BST

    Northants 465 v Gloucs 268 & 53-3 (f/o)

Cameron Bancroft is beginning to motor.

He takes Raphael Weatherall for six and then tickles a wayward delivery down to fine leg boundary for four more.

It moves him to 37 off 49 balls and brings up the 50 for Northamptonshire.

  11. Postpublished at 12:58 BST

    Lancs 72-2 - target 424

Barely a push through mid-on by Marcus Harris from Hasan Mahmud but it races away for four.

Another relatively expensive over for Mahmud with nine from it as Lancashire cut the required runs for victory to 352.

  12. Postpublished at 12:56 BST

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 141-4

Somerset are just starting to pick up the scoring now.

Thomas Rew finds two boundaries in three balls from Liam Patterson-White, first tickling fine down the legside for four and then sweeping hard to deep square leg.

Seems strange that Yorks aren’t enforcing the follow on but plenty of time left in the game!

    Lancs 63-2 - target 424

A big chance at a stumping for Kent goes begging.

Marcus Harris comes down the track to Matt Parkison's spin but completely misses it.

But then so too does Kent 'keeper Chris Benjamin with Harris a long way out of his crease.

And now a no-ball from Parkinson before Harris eventually gets off the mark with two through mid-off.

    ul Hassan c Alsop b Coles 30 (Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 111-1)

    James ColesImage source, Shutterstock

James Coles can do no wrong.

Following on from yesterday's double century, he is called up by skipper Tom Haines and breaks the partnership with his second ball.

And what a catch that is by Tom Alsop at short leg - it was right out of the middle of Zain ul Hassan's bat but he stayed down and took it in front of his chest.

  16. Postpublished at 12:51 BST

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 130-4

James Rew has taken a while to get going today but this will help.

He pulls it hard through square leg from Fergus O'Neill's short delivery and it races away for four.

J Rew is onto 29 from 77 balls.

    Gumbs b Harmer 49 (Leics 187 & 130-2 (f/o) Essex 401)

Sheridon Gumbs is bowledImage source, Shutterstock

    What a shame!

A Simon Harmer delivery keeps devilishly low as Sheridon Gumbs is castled just one short of his maiden first-class fifty on debut.

It hit middle stump about halfway up.

The 22-year-old has done his hopes of more first-class cricket no harm at all, though.

Big breakthrough for Essex though as Lewis Hill joins Rehan Ahmed.

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 108-0

This has been a very restrained innings by the normally attack-minded Zain ul Hassan, but when a delivery from Dom Goodman climbs on him, he has no qualms about uppercutting over the slips for four.

  19. Postpublished at 12:48 BST

    Durham 377 v Derbyshire 118 & 164-4

We wonder if Ben Stokes is still around to offer Durham some tactical advice about how to break this partnership - he was at the Riverside yesterday for a bit of practice.

Still no joy for the Division Two leaders with Nick Potts having recently driven Duanne Olivier for four.

    Bohannon c Northeast b Mahud 26 (Lancs 58-2 - target 424)

Hasan Mahmud gets his revenge on Josh Bohannon!

Bohannon had taken Mahmud for 22 runs in his last over but now he's gone.

It's a lovely ball from Mahmud as he finds the edge of Bohannon's bat and Sam Northeast takes the catch at second slip.

Barring that one expensive over, this has been a solid debut for Mahmud, with five wickets in the match now.
