    Durham 24-0 v Derbys

Three fours in an over for Ben McKinney, who tucks Ben Aitchison through mid-wicket and then steers the paceman down to third man before glancing a poor final delivery fine.

He is 20 not out and Derbyshire call up England spinner Shoaib Bashir to bowl what is only the 11th over of the game.

  2. Postpublished at 11:39 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 15-1

Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed denies an almost certain four for the second time in this match already as he sprawls to his left to deny Jordan Hermann's straight drive off Brett Hutton from flying to the boundary.

Hermann does pick up a single into the legside from the next ball before Lewis Goldsworthy sees off three dots from Hutton before taking a single of his own to mid-wicket.

  4. Postpublished at 11:35 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 13-1

Jordan Hermann tries to flick into the legside from Fergus O'Neill but it thuds into his pads and Somerset pick up a single.

Lewis Goldsworthy then gets off the mark in style as O'Neill serves one up very wide outside off and Goldsworthy cracks it through extra cover for four.

    Five from the over.

  5. Early lunch to be taken at Lancspublished at 11:33 BST

Lancashire v Kent - start delayed by rain

The umpires have inspected the pitch at Stanley Park in Blackpool and it's not great news yet unfortunately.

An early lunch will be taken at 12:30 BST.

We will keep you updated with any further news of a start time if and when we get it.

  6. Postpublished at 11:31 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 8-1

Lewis Goldsworthy hammers one through cover from Brett Hutton but Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed does very well indeed to get down and prevent a certain boundary.

It's nipping about out there but Goldsworthy is still trying to go on the attack as he tries to drive but inside edges and almost drags on.

Just the one from the over for Jordan Hermann in the end.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11:30 BST

    Procter c Bracey b Clarke 6 (Northants 25-2 v Glos)

This is turning into a very decent county debut for Kristian Clarke, who has now removed both Northamptonshire openers!

Luke Procter was trying to pull his bat out of the way as the ball nipped back outside off stump - but he wasn't quick enough and there's a faint edge through into the wicketkeeper's gloves.

Bit of rebuilding for the home side to do as Clarke's first ball fizzes just past the outside edge of new batter Nathan McSweeney.

  8. Postpublished at 11:30 BST

    Durham 13-0 v Derbys

Four slips in place for Mo Abbas, but Ben McKinney collects the first boundary of the game at the Riverside as he steers the Pakistan seamer through the covers. Just a tad overpitched and that was very well timed.

  9. Barker bowls a hat-trick of no ballspublished at 11:28 BST

    Yorkshire 22-0 v Warwickshire

It's an over of extras from Keith Barker as he bowls three no-balls in a row.

Four leg byes are also added to the Yorkshire total.

  10. Postpublished at 11:28 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 7-1

Lewis Goldsworthy comes to the crease and he now faces the challenge of Fergus O'Neill, who is looking dangerous here.

Goldsworthy survives the rest of the over after Josh Thomas was caught in the slips but not without O'Neill beating the outside edge from the final delivery.

  11. Postpublished at 11:27 BST

    Sussex v Glamorgan 12-2

Anyone who has seen Kiran Carlson giving the ball some hammer in the T20 Blast might be surprised that his first 13 faced at Hove have been scoreless. He is finally off the mark with a single as he drives Sean Hunt into the covers.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11:24 BST

    Thomas c Haynes b O'Neill 0 (Nottinghamshire v Somerset 7-1)

Josh Thomas has been tied in knots early doors by Fergus O'Neill and now he's gone for a duck!

Fergus O'Neill's line just drifts slightly down the legside from the first ball of the over and it flicks Thomas' thigh pad on the way through and runs all the way for four leg-byes down to fine leg.

But the very next ball, O'Neill is back on a teasing length outside off and Thomas plays slightly across the line and can only edge straight to Jack Haynes at third slip, who takes a decent catch.

Tough start for Somerset. Great start for Notts.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11:23 BST

    Tribe c Simpson b Unadkat 6 (Sussex v Glamorgan 11-2)

Not the greatest of shots by Asa Tribe who flashes at one outside off stump from Jaydev Unadkat and is caught behind by John Simpson.

"He didn't need to play at that," is the shared opinion of BBC radio commentators Adrian Harms and Nick Webb.

  14. Slow start at Scarboroughpublished at 11:22 BST

    Yorkshire 12-0 v Warwickshire

Yorkshire managed just six runs in the first five overs after being put into bat at Scarborough.

Will Luxton does get things going a bit in the sixth over with a two and a four off successive balls from Ethan Bamber.

  15. Postpublished at 11:22 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 2-0

Brett Hutton opens from the other end for Notts, so we will have to wait a little longer to see Pakistan international Mohammad Ali bowl on his County Championship debut for the defending champions.

A tidy over from Hutton and just a couple off it for Jordan Hermann, tickling the final ball down to fine leg for two.

  16. Postpublished at 11:21 BST

    Northants 19-1 v Glos

It's an all-Kiwi attack for Gloucestershire at the start of this game, with Will Williams and Kristian Clarke both getting the ball to move around in helpful overhead conditions.

Williams has been tidy so far, sending down 11 dot balls - the exception being thumped over extra cover for four by Calvin Harrison.

Harrison has nine to his name, with home captain Luke Procter yet to get off the mark.

  17. Postpublished at 11:19 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 1-0

Fergus O'Neill ends the first over with a length delivery outside off and Josh Thomas tucks his bat in to let it pass through to Joe Clarke behind the stumps for Notts.

Somerset survive the first six balls at a very gloomy Trent Bridge.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11:19 BST

    Geddes c Libby b Taylor 5 (Middlesex 13-1 v Worcestershire)

Jake Libby takes an excellent low catch at third slip and Ben Geddes is gone for 5 with Tom Taylor taking the wicket.

Worcestershire will be relieved as some wayward bowling had seen them concede early boundaries.

  19. Postpublished at 11:19 BST

    Durham 6-0 v Derbys

As you might expect, there aren't many freebies being handed out at the Riverside.

In-form Ben Aitchison's first couple of overs with the new ball have yielded just three runs and Mo Abbas is typically right on the money at the other end.

  20. Play to resume at Trent Bridgepublished at 11:17 BST

    Nottinghamshire v Somerset 1-0

Slightly delayed start, on, off and now back on again at Trent Bridge.

The players are coming back out after a brief rain shower halted proceedings.

Fergus O'Neill has one ball remaining in the opening over and it's Josh Thomas who will face it.
