    Facing Ollie Robinson must feel like relaxing at a spa at the moment compared to what Jofra Archer is offering from the other end.

    My word, what a ball to get first up.

    Abdullah Shafique is in at three and gets an absolute ripper that rears up and pins him on the glove. He looks a little dazed as the ball lands safely on the leg side and stutters through for a single.

    I think when Shan Masood watches this again, his foot movement is minimal.

    That is a full ball, and he goes nowhere. The nip does for him.

    A beauty!

    There's still plenty in this surface and Jofra Archer makes the most of it. A full delivery, just over 90mph and with minimal foot movement, Shan Masood can only nick it through to the keeper.

    Pakistan's top order woes continue.

    Azan Awais takes a quick single from the last ball of the over. He was batting quite far out of his crease which helped him with the lbw, so Jamie Smith has come up to the stumps now.

    I doubt he'll be doing the same for Jofra Archer, however...

    Joe Root asks his keeper Jamie Smith for a verdict, who doesn't seem to give him an answer of much conviction, and the skipper eventually sends it upstairs with a second to spare.

    The contrast between his pace and Ollie Robinson's could present a challenge for the Pakistan openers.

    Technically, the batsman will be challenged and mentally, he will not give you too many gifts, so you will not get off to a flyer.

    The ball was still nibbling around this morning as much as it did yesterday. With the sun out, England's pace bowlers will be glad to see that the change in weather hasn't affected the surface much so far today.

  20. Job done for England this morning, pretty much. Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson added 47 for the last wicket and that will have annoyed Pakistan's bowlers immensely.

    Tongue finished unbeaten on 30, his highest Test score.

    And to dent Pakistan's confidence further, they will need to find a new opening combination as Imam-ul-Haq suffered a calf injury yesterday and couldn't take the field this morning.
