    I've been really impressed with Charlie Dean standing in as England captain. I haven't got a bad word to say about her.

    The game is nicely poised here. England are pulling the strings and another wicket for Ireland could really put the pressure on them.

    How much will England tighten the screw?

    Good over from Tilly Corteen-Coleman.

    One loopy full toss aside, she is landing it nicely and not giving the Ireland batters any free hits. Impressive stuff from the young left-arm spinner.

    England captain Charlie Dean brings herself into the attack and sees her first ball nicely driven through extra cover by Amy Hunter, adding two to Ireland's total.

    Just a pair of singles follow. A tidy enough start from the off-spinner.

    I've been impressed with Tilly Corteen-Coleman. This season I've seen a difference in her athleticism and fielding. You might not have them when you are young and put some work in there. I think she will go from strength to strength.

    For her it will be about managing the ups and downs of her career. But what I know of her is she is really level headed.

    Another risky single from Orla Prendergast and she can be grateful that Dani Gibson's throw goes to the wrong end!

    Prendergast drives nicely but can't beat Gibson at extra cover. However, the England fielder opts to throw to the wicketkeeper's end rather than have a shy at the non-striker's, where Prendergast would have been struggling.

    Four singles from Tilly Corteen-Coleman, the latter three all rather more comfortable.

    Ireland have tried to be proactive but have not been able to get away. England will be pleased.

    Very good over from Issy Wong, just a single from it - and that almost brought another run out as new batter Orla Prendergast ran through for a risky one - plus the big wicket of Gaby Lewis.

    With that second wicket, England will be pleased with their powerplay. Both openers gone and they've kept the runs down as well.

    On first glance it looks a similar dismissal to the other day - a carbon copy. It was a booming drive which is through bat and pad. That's a big blow for Ireland - their key batter is gone in the powerplay.

    Bowled 'er! That's a big wicket!

    Full from Issy Wong, just pitching around off stump and then nipping back off the seam to beat Gaby Lewis through the gate as she looks to drive.

    It was a wobble-seam delivery and the Ireland skipper is comprehensively bowled.

    Another shot from Amy Hunter that is not particularly pleasing on the eye. Skipping down to Tilly Corteen-Coleman and trying to hoick to leg.

    She gets bat on it but rather plinks the ball towards mid-on for no run.

    One over left in the powerplay and Issy Wong will continue.

    Great shot from Gaby Lewis. Not her first option, the sweep, as she prefers to go down the ground. But any player who sweeps and hits down the ground is very hard to bowl to.

    Excellent shot from Gaby Lewis, spotting that square leg has been brought into the ring and sweeping over the in-field for four.

  14. First change of bowling of the innings and we're going to see some spin. Here comes Tilly Corteen-Coleman to replace Ryana MacDonald-Gay.

    A double teapot from Issy Wong after a massive hoick across the line from Amy Hunter for that boundary. I can understand why she is absolutely fuming.

    Well... they all count but that is an ugly shot from Amy Hunter. A horrible heave across the line, the ball comes off the inside half of the bat and through the leg side for four.

    Issy Wong is not impressed.

    It's not easy to play cross-batted shots on this pitch by the looks of things.

    Hunter and Lewis are Ireland's most productive partnership in ODI cricket, with 12 50-plus scores from 25 innings together and over 1,250 runs scored as a pair.

    Another Ryana MacDonald-Gay over goes by with just a single from it, it's all too wide from the England seamer though.

    They've got one already and run outs have looked the most likely route to wickets for the home side so far.
