I've seen more than 12,000 films (conservative estimate). The best of all time would have to be a film I could watch whatever mood I was in and no such film exists.

Saturday morning kids' matinees.

Martin Scorsese.

4. Best actor working today

Johnny Depp.

5. Best actress working today

Cate Blanchett.

6. Most interesting new development in cinema

The development of new technology, which makes it easier and cheaper for wannabe filmmakers to get a start.

7. Will watching movies on mobile phones take off?

I hope not. Who wants to watch a movie made on a phone?.

8. Are Hollywood's days numbered?

Hollywood will change and adapt as it always has done. Its grip on the industry will probably continue to diminish but it will always be important.
