Mozambique declares wild poliovirus outbreak
Mozambican authorities have confirmed that a child in the north-east had contracted wild polio.
Health authorities in Mozambique have declared a polio outbreak after a child in the country’s north-eastern Tete province contracted the disease.
South Sudan says it is sending its army to the disputed oil-rich Abyei region, along the border with Sudan, following ethnic clashes that have killed more than 40 people.
And Angolan parliamentarians are set to vote on a bill proposing to ban surveys and opinion polls ahead of the August presidential election.
