
Somalia: Worst drought in a decade
Aid agencies warn country on brink of famine
Around 4.5 million people are in need of urgent humanitarian aid Somalia, which is currently experiencing its worst drought in a decade.
Livestock are dying and the price of essential goods like food and water is spiking. The United Nations says, almost 700,000 people have been forced from their homes in search of food and water, and the numbers are rising.
In Egypt, as the war in Ukraine continues the country like many others is seeing huge price rises for basic commodities including food and fuel. To stem the effects on people in the country the Egyptian government has taken decisive action and introduced price controls.
And, a veteran Kenyan mountaineer tells us about his preparations for his next climb, Mount Everest.
