It has been a year since the conflict started in the north.

Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Monday urged citizens to "move forward in unity" as the conflict in the north continues, saying the country was being "tested on many fronts" but had been strengthened. Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio has declared three days of national mourning after a fuel tanker explosion on Friday killed more than 100 people.
