Why did you decide to take part?
Darron: Over the past three years, Alex has lived with his mum, and we rarely see each other. I want to get our relationship back on track and rediscover the bond we once had. I think Alex lacks direction in life and I believe this trip will make a man out of him and help him to focus and decide upon a future for himself.
Alex: I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, and fully test myself to see if I could do it. I decided to take part with my dad because I wanted to get close with him again, as it had been a while since we have seen each other. We’d been seeing each other once a month but we would always argue, so I wanted the chance to get to know him properly as an adult and get that bond back.
