The ‘mindfulness’ of cleaning Norfolk’s beaches
Helping clean Norfolk’s beaches means more than just picking up other people’s rubbish.
Emma Sturman has been leading a team of volunteer beach cleaners in Norfolk since around 2020.
In that time, she estimates they have collected more than 7,000kg of rubbish.
She is among the finalists for the BBC Radio Norfolk Make A Difference Awards.
But as she tells Alex Arnold, there’s far more to what they do than just cleaning up after other people. And it’s not what you might expect.
