Politics, press, sex and scandal: The Profumo Affair remembered 50 years on

The Profumo affair was the scandal that had everything: sex, spying and a leading politician in disgrace.

Fifty years ago today Britain's Secretary of State for War, John Profumo, resigned following the affair. It laid bare corruption at the heart of the British Establishment. Nick Higham reports.
