Jaz Imsky

The Annie Nightingale Pioneers initiative celebrates the pioneering spirit of Annie Nightingale, Radio 1’s first female DJ and longest-serving presenter. It honours her enduring legacy of championing new music, emerging talent and underrepresented voices in electronic music.

Taking you on a bass filled journey is Jaz Imsky - our second chosen Pioneer of 2026. She is a Singapore-born, London-raised heavyweight bass specialist, blending the roots of soundsystem culture with multicultural innovation. She has released on influential labels including Deep Medi and performed at leading venues and festivals including Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Boomtown and Outlook as well as touring internationally across Asia and Europe.
