Having fled war in Sudan, Nafisa turns her camera on the scars of Belfast’s own conflict. Haunted by her mother’s ghost, she is drawn to Michael, a young man lost in grief.
Nafisa has fled a war in Sudan that rages on. Camera in hand, she climbs a Belfast tower block still marked by the Troubles, racing the deadline for art college. Her mother’s ghost leads her upward, towards Michael, a young man lost in his own grief. Two young people, two geographies, both raised inside a trauma that began before them. A splendid mutation begins.
