Kill or Be Killed

Sunday lunch in West Belfast: family sparring, point-scoring over death notices, and stuffing yer face before your ‘eating window’ closes, are all served up alongside the roasties.

At the Rafferty family’s Sunday roast, it’s more than the chicken that gets a roasting!

Sunday roast means one thing: the whole family under one roof, and absolutely no chance of anyone getting through the meal without an argument. Ma Deirdre’s up to high doe about her best frenemy Brenda, who's always finding out who died before her, but her problems are put on pause when the eldest daughter, Niamh, tries to manically pull everyone into her intermittent fasting quest. No one else seems to care, but do not try her this day, she will have her custard before that eating window closes if it’s the last thing she does.

A true to life comedy from Claire Rafferty, exploring the family dynamics of an Irish working-class family born and raised in a small community in West Belfast.
