Day 1: Featuring Women's Shot Put Final

Five gold medals will be awarded in the first evening session of the European Athletics Championships as the women’s shot put final gets underway. There’s also qualifying for the women’s 100m hurdles. This is the first time that Great Britain has ever hosted these Championships, and there are over 1,600 athletes from 48 countries taking part.

Gabby Logan is joined in the studio by Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jenny Meadows and Greg Rutherford, and they reflect on all the action from the morning session as well as previewing the women’s 100m final. Commentary comes from Steve Cram, Steve Backley, Andrew Cotter, Colin Jackson and Paula Radcliffe.
