Day 1: Men's 800m Heats, Women's 100m Heats

The first ever European Athletics Championships to be held in Great Britain get under way in Birmingham, and it’s a busy first morning on the track and in the field.

One of the fastest men in Europe over 800m this year, Max Burgin, is in action in qualifying and Dina Asher-Smith begins the defence of her 100m title.
