Write '07

Write '07 has received more than 400 entries. The poems, stories, plays, essays and lyrics are now being read by our panel of 11 judges.

The overall winner will receive a cheque for £100, kindly donated by our competition partner Wicksteed Park.

The winners will be announced during WRITE '07 LIVE at Wicksteed Park on Sunday 15th July 2007.

Everyone who's entered (along with family and friends) is invited to WRITE '07 LIVE.

If you wish, you can read an extract of your entry on the BBC Northamptonshire stage. Depending on numbers, readers may have to be selected on the day.

Write '07 is run by the BBC in Northamptonshire, supported by Northamptonshire County Council's Libraries & Information Service and Wicksteed Park, Kettering.

The competition was open to anyone who lives or works in Northamptonshire. They could each enter up to three pieces of creative writing, with each entry no more than 1,000 words.

There are just four age categories:
• Up to 7-year-olds (or up to and including School Year 2 pupils)
• 7 to 11-year-olds (School Years 3 to 6)
• 12 to 17-year-olds (School Years 7 to 11)
• Adults
