Write '07

More entries than ever before were submitted to the BBC's annual creative writing competition.

The panel of judges have now read all 435 poems, stories, plays and lyrics.

On Sunday 15th July 2007, the winners of Write '07 will be announced.

WRITE '07 LIVE is not just an awards ceremony. Entrants are invited to read extracts from their work on the BBC stage.

BBC Radio Northampton's drivetime presenter Richard Savage will be hosting the event in Wicky's Cave at Wicksteed Park, Kettering, starting at 11:30am.

Everyone is invited to come along, whether you've entered the competition or not. If you'd like to read from your entry, please register at 11:00am.

BBC Radio Northampton will have a big presence at WRITE '07 LIVE. Sue Marchant will be presenting her Sunday morning show live from Wicksteed Park. You can hear her between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Listen on the web, or if you live in Northamptonshire, by tuning to 104.2 or 103.6 FM.

Fifteen prizes will be awarded.

The first prize winner will receive a cheque for £100, kindly given by Wicksteed Park. He or she will also be awarded the BBC Northamptonshire Write trophy and a certificate.

There will be five adult winners, all of whom will receive 'Highly Commended' certificates.

There are three children's categories:
• Up to 7-year-olds (or up to and including School Year 2 pupils)
• 7 to 11-year-olds (School Years 3 to 6)
• 12 to 17-year-olds (School Years 7 to 11)

Each of the winners will receive certificates and a choice of book tokens or free rides at Wicksteed Park, all kindly donated by Wicksteed Park.

• 1st prize - £20 book token or 2 Wicksteed Park wrist bands
• 2nd prize - £15 book token or 2 sheets of 30 tickets
• 3rd prize - £10 book token or 2 sheets of 12 tickets
