Could the secret ingredient to tastier food be... eating someone else's?
According to a new study, chips pinched from someone else's plate actually taste better than ones from your own!
Researchers at the Russian Medical Academy gave all participants the same chips, but the chips that were nabbed from another plate were described as saltier and crispier than the others.

What was the chip pinching experiment?

Mmmm tasty chips!
The experiment took 120 people who were each given the same chips to eat.
Despite being identical chips, they were eaten in different ways.
Some were directly served the tasty treat, others were given the chips by another person.
And some were told to steal the chips. First, in a 'high-risk' environment where someone was standing and watching them, and then in a 'low risk' environment where the chances of being caught was low.
Each time the participants ranked the tastiness of the chips, and the stolen chips pinched in the 'high-risk' environment - the most in danger of being caught - were the described as the most delicious!
So, the next time you get some chips with your friends or family... you know which ones will be tastier!
