You've definitely heard of her books and probably read a few of them too - we're talking about none other than Dame Jacqueline Wilson.

And now the famous children's author has turned 80 years old.

To say happy birthday, we've rounded up some of our favourite facts that you may not know about her.

Her most famous is Tracy Beaker, but Jacqueline Wilson has an enormous number of books under her belt.

Lots of them tackle difficult topics like parents splitting up and grief, and they've been well loved by children for years.

You may have noticed in pictures or videos of Jacqueline Wilson that she has an incredible array of jewellery on both her hands.

That's because she buys a new silver ring to treat herself after every book she finishes writing.

However her first published work was a short story she wrote when she was seventeen.

As you might imagine, Jacqueline really likes to read - she owns over 15,000 books!

Between 2000 and 2010, Jacqueline Wilson's books were taken out the most from UK libraries.

In fact, a whopping 16 million copies of her books were borrowed!
