MSPs have marked the 30th anniversary of a factory sit-in led by women which is regarded as a highly significant chapter in Scottish labour relations.
The mainly female staff at Lee Jeans in Greenock, Inverclyde, barricaded themselves into the works canteen over a decision to close the factory.
After a seven-month protest, the plant was saved by a management buy-out.
Three former workers visited the Scottish Parliament on Thursday to mark the anniversary and meet with MSPs.
'Landmark victory'
Former union shop stewards' convener Helen Monaghan and ex-workers Catherine Robertson and Margaret Wallace all took part in the action along with more than 200 colleagues.
Their meetings with MSPs followed a Holyrood debate on a motion by Labour's Duncan McNeil, MSP for Greenock and Inverclyde.
He called on the parliament to "salute the workers for capturing the imagination of the whole country and achieving a landmark victory against a US multinational" - the American VF Corporation.
Mr McNeil called the workers "an inspiration to women workers all over the world".
