- Donaldson has been found guilty of rape, four counts of gross indecency and 13 counts of indecent assault against two women when they were children.
- His wife Eleanor Donaldson had faced a trial of the facts on mental health grounds, meaning the jury was asked to find out if she did the acts or did not do the acts of which she was accused. They found that she had done the acts in relation to all five charges, including four counts of aiding and abetting her husband’s offending.
- The judge says Jeffrey Donaldson faces a lengthy prison sentence and remanded him into custody with the words: "Take Mr Donaldson down."
- Jeffrey Donaldson was taken away from Newry courthouse in a prison van and is expected to be sentenced in September.
- Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader Gavin Robinson said his predecessor has been found guilty of the "most heinous and despicable crimes".
