How are you watching tonight's episode?

  1. Are actors bad liars? Did James Blunt really butter his nipples?published at 21:44 BST

What a ride. And it has only just begun!

From the newsroom here in London, there were gasps and chuckles from every corner.

Richard E Grant was absolutely outrageous. In the words of series four faithful and retired detective Amanda: "WHAT WAS HE THINKING!"

Now we've got a little glimpse of how this year's celebrities act around each other, take a look at the links between them outside of the castle. "Lets just say it took me an hour," my colleague and spider web administrator Freya told me earlier.

By tomorrow, we'll have three traitors, one murder, and a whole lot more suspicion.

But for now, thank you for joining our live coverage, you can read more in our full story here.

  2. That episode was unexpected to say the leastpublished at 21:31 BST

Richard E Grant just threw a huge curve ball - as Rob Beckett correctly observed, the actor did something no one has done on the show before.

To openly say he was a traitor wasn't part of some clever gameplan - he genuinely did it by "mistake" - he said so himself.

So instead of the traitors enjoying choosing who to recruit and who to kill off first, it became a very tense moment for Grant and Maya Jama.

They had to choose the celebrities putting the most pressure on Grant after his admission.

This put a whole new perspective on it - choose the wrong person and Grant could be banished at the next round table.

But it made for compelling TV.

Who would have thought this would happen in episode one? It has taken everyone by surprise.

  3. I'm desperate to know if he will get away with thispublished at 21:25 BST

My phone was going BANANAS from the series four cast in that last hour.

And I got a couple things right.

Now, I just want to know if Richard E Grant gets away with this. WHAT WAS HE THINKING!

Big dogs should not put their head above the parapet.

  4. The decision is made...published at 21:15 BST

    Here we go.

Oh my, this is soooo dramatic.

  6. Contestants begin pleading for their livespublished at 21:12 BST

    Imogen James
    Terrified traitor

    The pleading begins.

James Acaster is first to try and secure his place as a traitor.

He says he's been loudly saying Richard E Grant is a traitor, so if he's killed, it'll be too obvious.

Amol Rajan says that he has no heat on him, which is "useful", and he's made some good relationships already.

  7. Thems the rules, I suppose!published at 21:11 BST

Here we go, let the battle commence.

It’s just so sad that someone has to go!

But that’s the game and thems the rules.

  8. The traitors will decide who will live and who will diepublished at 21:10 BST

    Helen Bushby
    Culture reporter and loyal faithful

Both Amol Rajan and James Acaster were summoned because they both put pressure on Richard E Grant after he said he is a traitor.

Now they have to plead for their lives face to face with the traitors.

  9. I guessed who would be selected at the last secondpublished at 21:09 BST

A photo of Amanda with the words: Amanda, series 4 faithful

In the last second I thought, oh gosh, it's going to be Amol and James.

    AND I'M RIGHT!

I just don’t think James will win the battle against Amol.

  10. Two players are already back at the churchpublished at 21:08 BST

    Warning: this post contains spoilers

If they thought it was bad this morning in the church, it looks like it's about to get worse.

James Acaster and Amol Rajan have been summoned back by the traitors.

  11. I SPOKE TOO SOON!published at 21:07 BST

    Imogen James

We know who is being summoned to see the traitors!

  12. A decision has been made by the traitorspublished at 21:06 BST

    Imogen James
    Terrified traitor

Back to the turret we go, and there's chatter among the traitors about Richard E Grant's bad idea to announce he was a traitor to the group.

He and Maya are discussing who to recruit, and who to murder.

They hand their decision to Claudia.

Of course, we won't know who they choose until tomorrow night.

    EEK.

  13. There's only one correct decision here for the traitorspublished at 21:04 BST

A photo of Amanda with the words: Amanda, series 4 faithful

If they have any sense, they will keep their enemies close.

    I’m predicting Amol and Bella.

  14. The paranoia is setting in alreadypublished at 21:03 BST

A photo of Amanda with the words: Amanda, series 4 faithful

Richard could be in trouble here too. Amol is not going to give this up.

It's clear that paranoia is setting in already, Ross is putting the cat amongst the pigeons.

Side point: Is it just me or are we all loving James Blunts' attire?

  15. Rattled Ross rubbed the wrong way by Leigh-Anne?published at 21:02 BST

    Imogen James
    Terrified traitor

Ross Kemp is CRACKING me up.

Twice now he thinks he's been murdered in plain sight.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock rubbed him on the arm as a kind gesture, but paranoid Kemp is suspicious.

  16. 'I know how to ask annoying but useful questions' says Amol Rajanpublished at 21:02 BST

    Helen Bushby
    Culture reporter and loyal faithful

Journalist Amol Rajan is asking Richard E Grant "what happened last night?" when the actor said he was a traitor.

    This is a fair question.

Grant doesn't give the most conclusive answer, saying he said it just because he'd been keen to be a traitor - but it's enough to throw Miranda off the scent.

    Will it work overall though?

Kieran isn't the only first-time watcher after all! Todd Brooks in Poole gets in touch to say he's at home watching the show for the first time.

Over in south Wales, Sara Turatto is watching with her cat Bacon, who was "jumping up when the brilliant Richard E. Grant came on the scene".

"Do you think Bacon knows?!" she asks.

  18. Is that a mistake from Bella Ramsey?published at 20:59 BST

A photo of Amanda with the words: Amanda, series 4 faithful

Nooooo Bella, now that is a mistake I’m afraid.

If the others latch on to this, they're in trouble. Ross Kemp is definitely influential.

  19. Ross Kemp is worried he has 'just been killed in plain sight'published at 20:58 BST

    Helen Bushby
    Culture reporter and loyal faithful

Kemp is worried Bella Ramsey planting a hat from the ship onto his head has just signed his death warrant.

Alan Carr did it to Paloma Faith in series one by touching her face.

So it's not surprising he's worried.

  20. The first mission has concluded, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were watching Bondpublished at 20:55 BST

    Imogen James
    Terrified traitor

    They've nailed their first mission.

    That's £15,000 in the bag.

The contestants run away with their earnings, as a boat explodes across a Scottish loch in the background.

If you flicked onto this randomly, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's a James Bond film.
