Kent in filmYou are in: Kent > Entertainment > Kent in film > Just the ticket Just the ticketBy Jo Pattison Kent filmmaker Leon Chambers has found a novel way to fund his next film. He's selling tickets for the premiere before the film has been made. ![]() Leon wrote the script for 'The Long Lonely Walk' last year when there was the opportunity to get some Film Council funding. Although his script got through to the last round, it was not selected. He then spent months trying to find a producer. "Everyone loved the script, but either didn't want to make a short film or thought it was too ambitious," says Leon. Determined that the script would not be left sitting on a shelf Leon decided to produce and direct the film himself. To fund the part of the production he has come up with the idea to sell tickets now for the London premiere of the film which will be held in January 2010. For £30 people will secure their tickets to the premiere where they will also receive a copy of the film on DVD.
