Lynette Fay hosts a panel discussion to kick off the BLAS coverage of “Seachtain na Gaeilge 2012”. This special programme will be broadcasting live from Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich in Belfast, in front of a live audience. The topic of debate is “The Irish language and its future in 2012”, and the panellists will take questions from the Irish language community itself.

Lynette Fay presents this special programme as part of ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ 2012. As is the case every Friday, Lynette gets the weekend underway with the best of roots, traditional and folk music, as well as live sessions from JJ Ó Dochartaigh and Ruyla. Coverage of Rith 2012 continues on Blas with a special report from Galway city. This Marathon for the Irish Language comes to a close on Inis Mór, Aran, off the coast of Galway on St Patrick’s Day.
