As I was born one week after VE day, I missed the whole thing. But my parents made sure I knew all about the war and what they went through and how they coped with the rationing and bombings and other problems of daily life in wartime. But there are a few details that were never really gone into and I'm hoping to find out some information from the few clues I have to work with.

My parents are both dead now, so it falls to me to be the one who contributes their stories to this site. This was an incredible time, for both good and bad, that as much information as possible needs to be saved about it for future generations.

I am looking forward to contributing and learning as I prepare my parents' stories.
