My name is Diane Barlow. My parents were William and Doris Cowie. I have posted a story about them - Kennington ARP Post 11 1940. If this jogs any memories or anyone can tell me a bit more about in particualr my dad's regiment. 6th and 190th RHA. I know their training took place at Bulwick in Northamptonshire and at Cambridge.
He had a colleague known as Longframlington Joe. My mum always thougth this was because the man was tall until I moved to Northumberland and we dscovered it was a village up here!
My brother and sister are Irene and Ken. Other names which may help were mentioned by my mum:
Miss Malcolm
Miss Elsie Ward
Miss Capps
Mrs Crossgill
I have just retired from teaching and now I have the time wish there was more to work on to filling the recent gaps in family history.
