The Plant and Protect Garden
Sadie May Stowell
Silver-Gilt
Designed to raise awareness of the loss of English orchards and traditional varieties, Sadie’s garden looks at the life cycle of an orchard. The shapes within the design reflect those of the apple tree and its leaves. Young trees reflect the need for replanting traditional varieties, while a sculpture in the centre represents new life emerging from decay.
