About This Event
“Isn’t life exciting!” said Moomintroll. “Everything can change all of a sudden, and for no reason at all!” Composer Lauri Porra’s magical Seasons in Moominvalley takes Tove Jansson’s beloved characters on a whole new adventure – told in film plus a special touch of magic: an enchanting new orchestral score.
It’s a story for all ages to enjoy. Lauri has been setting the Moomins’ world to music for many years now, and Snufkin, Moominpappa, Toffle, Little My and co are all like family to him. Created from Jansson’s own delightful images, and with Lauri’s music performed live alongside the film, this is a tale that’s never been told before - but one in which everyone who counts the Moomins as friends will feel wonderfully at home.
Family concert suitable for ages 5+.
Seasons in Moominvalley will also be performed as part of the evening concert in the Barbican Hall.
Tickets on general sale from 24 April.
