Beautiful colours, interiors and landscapes are all on display at the Hayletts Gallery during May as a Great Bardfield family take the limelight.

Bernard Cheese who uses both lithographs and watercolours and his daughter Chloe, who works with watercolours, are being hosted by the Maldon gallery and promises to provide something for all tastes.

Bernard Cheese is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and has paintings at the Royal Collection, V&A Museum and New York's MOMA, to name but a few. He loves to capture the beauty of landscapes, whether they are in the vineyards of France or the beaches of Suffolk.

Chloe has years of experience as an illustrator for publications such as The Sunday Times and various cookery and children's books. For her work in this exhibition, her paintings draw heavily on her own experiences and observations, with paintings featuring interiors from abroad and personal items that belonged to her mother.

For more information on this and further exhibitions, visit the Hayletts Gallery website or call 01621 851669.
