An art exhibition with a difference is taking place at the New Barn Gallery over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Celebrities from the worlds of sport, television, radio and film have all been asked by the New Barn Gallery to draw a picture of their own choice on a blank postcard. The postcards will be displayed anonymously, with only their signature on the back of the card giving away who it is by.

The exhibition has been organised in order to help raise funds for the local chemotherapy unit at Southend Hospital.

Contributors from the world of sport include David Gower, Matthew Hoggard, Shane Warne, Michael Owen and Bryan Robson, whilst from the media world come Fiona Bruce, Jeremy Vine and Roger Buxton! The entertainment industry sees pictures from Roger Lloyd-Pack and Dame Helen Mirren.

All of the pictures will be on sale to the visiting public, and only then will the identity of the artist be known!
