You can take a look at how the canals have changed over the centuries, and discover some of the characters involved with them by heading along to the Little Baddow History Centre before the end of September.

On display will be Sir Alastair Stewart’s collection of rare books, photographs, prints, maps and memorabilia of England’s canals and inland waterways, covering the period from 1760 to today.

The exhibition is open every Monday and Thursday between 10am and 12pm, Sundays between 2 and 4pm, and selected Saturdays.
