Hayletts Gallery, in Maldon is holding an exhibition of original prints by a broad selection of Modern British Artists, some of whom have won the Turner Prize. On show will be Bridget Riley’s carefully constructed abstract screen prints. ‘June’ for example is a beautiful composition of colours perfectly put together to create an image whereby the colours are so glorious, you feel indulgent just looking.  | | Halzephron Terry Frost |
Also on display is John Piper’s atmospheric architectural images, most are old ruins or churches, capturing a sense of history and place which only time can create. Mary Fedden’s still lives, illustrates her unique mind, where she takes a ‘normal’ still life placed in front of a landscape and turns it into a magical picture celebrating life.  | | Three reclining figures |
