Q. Maggie is a strong and caring doctor. Which characteristics do you identify with personally?
A: Well, being a mum of two, I feel that I have to be strong and caring.
Q. You recently starred in 'Shipman' and 'Early Doors'. Which genre do you prefer to work in?
A: Having been very fortunate to have had such a variety of roles, I have to say, they were both fantastic to work on.
Q. Have you ever been in casualty in real life, and if so, why?!
A: Thankfully no, I avoid casualty departments - and only visit them to collect accident prone relatives.
Q. You have been in the show before as Julie Day, is it strange being back as a different character?
A: Not really - things have changed at the warehouse [the Casualty set] and the programme has grown. The character I'm now playing is much fuller with much more scope and depth with a wider plain range.
